Founded in 2004, FERRMED is a multi-sector not-for-profit association created by the business world to contribute to improving European competitiveness via the promotion of the so-called “FERRMED Standards”: the strengthening of seaports and airports with their respective “hinterlands”; the backing of the Great Rail Axis for freight from Scandinavia-Rhine-Rhone-Western Mediterranean; the consolidation, together with other associations, of the major progress vectors of the European Union and neighboring countries and, as a consequence, a more sustainable development thanks to reduction of pollution and gasses that affect climate change.
FemCAT has been a member of FERRMED since 2006, together with more than 150 companies and institutions throughout Europe.
